The caves of the Isles are a dangerous place full of insects and various other predators looking to swallow up any who dare venture into the shadows. As such they are often seen as a no go zone by the Amazons unless entering is unavoidable. Within said caves there exists an unassuming, but very effective predator in the form of the Starlight Barnacle. A Bioluminescent Barnacle subspecies that fools its prey into a false sense of security. Their gentle glow hiding a sinister end as they grab hold of their prey and hoist them to the cavern's ceiling. There the prey will be digested over many months until the Barnacle is ready to feed once more. Regardless of their strength or speed once the prey is caught by the Barnacle's tendril this is the fate that awaits them. Thankfully for the prey, the acids will take them long before they are stewed into a nutrient rich pulp.

Very nice! Barnacles make for great predators, such slimy, drooly innards~ And Translucent cave predators to boot!

See, this is why you gotta toss an explosive barrel in front of you before moving through the cave. Don't even need a gravity gun!
