Centipedes, or tskaskata in their language, were the third alien species to join the Federation Of United Planets. They were first discovered when an exploration ship picked up signals from a centipede satellite that was broadcasting sitcom episodes.
Centipedes, on average, have a very strong sense of empathy towards sentient beings. Because of this, centipedes rarely serve in the peace core except as medics. The centipedes brought advanced medical technology to the federation along with the very popular soap opera, Star Fellow Maze.
Centipedes are omnivorous, so once they joined the federation, live hucows quickly became a very popular food item. In centipede restaurants you can find many hucow tanks. Depending on which tank the hucow is put in it will be sprayed with chocolate sauce, bbq sauce or just kept unflavored.
Centipedes use the large mouths on their tails to consume meat, like hucows, whole and alive. They also have a much smaller mouth between their mandibles which they use to eat fruit, vegetables and other plant-based food.
