It's been a while since i actually really liked a legendary like this. That throat is was made for this.
I want to start working on my internal shots like this one and really making the characters look cramped. Not sure where to start looking for references though or what to look for to get something similar.

Fricken' YES! When I first saw Miraidon, I couldn't help but think "that throat should definitely be clear; show off what it's eating." and you've done it! THANK YOU!

Kiyoa, moga are two artists that come to mind for bulges and internals like necks or stomachs. Happy to see you experimenting~ <3

Why not look up yoga or gymnest stuff, look at how the bosy bends and turns then try to visualize it inside of a throat? This might be one of those times where you need to look at a bunch of small stuff to get the whole picture? I don't know if this helps but if it did then great! Mucho love shdingo~ <3

I am late.
It might be an odd place to look for reference, but looking at pictures people who dabble with vacuum seal bondage (eg. vacuum beds, vac bags) could be a good place to get reference for that squish effect detail.
Especially those who use clear material to do the sealing

huh that's the first that's been mentioned actually

Alternatively another good reference point one could also look at is pictures or drawings of people pressed against glass. Plastic sheets could also maybe be a good reference point.
I tried Google image searching it. It doesn't provide a lot of full body shots, but there is a good amount of potential reference to see how a person face's squishes.
Also, while I don't know if this will be of interest to you as well, when it comes to drawing a character's hair in tight internal shots I have started looking at people wearing nylon over their heads for reference.
I find the way how the material presses down the hair is a good reference to get idea how the hair could be pressed down by the pressure of the muscles but it also make its look wet in a way.
