THE STORY:
The dredging crews have finally returned from the seas surrounding Australia's shores, and boy have through reeled in a catch. The hunter division of the EvergreenCorps has only a very limited ability to operate on and under the seas and usually they do not have much luck, considering the equipment necessary to catch and contain specimens without harm. Not to mention, the deeper they traul, the larger the chance of them bringing something up that wants them more than they want it.
Regardless, Mr Plate has been putting more funding into these expeditions. Further. Deeper. Darker. Strange sigils are etched into the boats now. Protective wards. And larger holding containers.
All that effort for YOU the CUSTOMER, we offer a selection of five "beauties" to choose from! You will be provided with care instructions to ensure they don't eat you.

Chimaera:
A mysterious and aloof creature, standing slender at a little over six foot.
This species seems to be distantly related to sharks and you might be fooled into thinking she's not as ravenous. But you would be wrong, for watch those barbed fins of hers on her elbows. They contain a very potent toxin that entirely paralyses her victims, making for a much easier to swallow meal (especially considering her fused jaw). Think you could get her to warm up to you?

Drake Fish:
A perfected ambush predator, the Drake Fish stands approx 7 feet tall from her "hips". She coolly waits in night time scenes for prey to happen by, hoping to draw them in by her dangling lure.
Unfortunately, out of water, she finds herself at a real disadvantage to capture live prey. She would be very thankful to one who'd be able to assist her in such matters we estimate.

Thorned Crab:
A veeery curious individual, only 5'10, she seems to hold a deep fascination for all things alien to deep sea living and often remarks with how little pressure there is on the surface, it feels as if she could "fly" (researchers have determined this is a statistical impossibility). Also a bit of a kleptomaniac, she will steal small trinkets and hide them amongst her many thorns and platings, challenging those who come looking for their belongings to try and find them on her.
Despite her appearance, is quite gentle.

Faceless Fish:
We don't really know much about this 8ft blubbery bulk. Apart from it (probably) being female, and more closely related to the cusk eel. She is seemingly blind, and makes her way around in a very touchy-feely sort of manner. Initially thought to be another harmless species, it was loaded into a low security holding cell and researchers arrived to analyze it. She blindly fumbled around the cell, putting its "hands" down on anything and everything around it, until it came upon one of the amused researchers. The touching moment took a quick turn when the bumbling hands turned into a tight grip and the fish opened its mouth wide. In one swoop the creature thrust the researcher off the ground and into its mouth. He was barely visible for a second more before he was swallowed just as fast as he was put there.
Holding cell has been upgraded along with security parameters. We think she'd make for great organic waste disposal!

The Imprisoned Leviathan:
Entry by Jenna Syde, Head of Science.
"Only one person in the facility wants that thing here... 4 metres tall, it barely fits in the buildings.
The boss and it talk without saying a word. They sit and stare at each other for hours, and Mr Plate's head tree seems...animated like by a wind, even indoors. Occasionally it motions to its chains and locks, I think Plate says no. But it's not actually that obvious. It's not any actual earthly species, and we didn't make it. It's another one of those things that have slept for millennia. And we woke up another one... It is covered in runes that suggest restriction, in locks that are not a material we are familiar with and bound with chains even stranger. Can we even sell something like that? Maybe that's what Plate is talking to it about. Trying to convince it to go home with someone..."
