Even in the year 20XX after modernizing the amazon isles still keep some traditions alive. Sacrifice is only one of many. The native floras and faunas need to be preserved for study after all and their diets are kept the same as they once were, thankfully there's no shortages of volunteers at the local zoos! This particular frog is getting its bi weekly feeding. The waitlist to be food is often many months to a year.
