A lovely commission done by the talented  mabeelz about Thalia trying a different method to try to render her stomach acids weaker than normal.

By drinking a lot of water and then ingesting a few "volunteers", she wanted to see if she could dilute her gastric juices enough for not be so deadly.

It turns out that not even all that water is enough to avoid an excruciating death inside the shortstack.

I wonder what the ph level of her stomach acids are?

Her stomach acids are at least 10 billion times stronger than sulfuric acid.
It may sound absurd, but it's not even close to the strongest super acid in the real world, which is the Fluoroantimonic acid.
Fluoroantimonic acid is 20 quintillion times stronger than 100% sulfuric acid.

I would like to see her eat large amounts of steel beams.

Gotta get that extra iron in her diet XDD

If they were still digested before they drowned that would be some very strong acid.

Yep, see above ^^

I would like to listen to the sloshing in her tummy.

hm, wonder if you could get more commission from mabeelz about thaila cause I super like her face in his art. Oh and one more thing you said her stomach acid is stronger than acid sulfuric 10 billion times so is that means her stomach is strong enough to contain lava?

I think there is a big difference between ph levels and heat. Our stomachs are protected by a layer of mucus from our own stomach acids. It's not something extremely durable, just some goo that repels away the gastric juices, which means that if you eat something very hot it would do nothing to stop it from burning your insides.
So while Thalia might have incredibly strong acids, she will still absolutely die if she tries to swallow lava, like any other being made of flesh and bones.
Lava is so hot, that in real life, if you get 10 meters close to it you'll catch on fire, so I don't see how she can possibly hold it in.

I want to point out that I did very little chemistry at school and most of the research was based around Google searches.

oh that was incredible great cause I was really bad at chemistry I only can do good ay math and physical lol

Yea I can see for some people confusing acidity with heat, but the main thing is acids are not inherently hot, it's all about chemical reaction when in contact with the right reagent.

So acids dissolves stuff because they react with the ligaments of the molecules of what they come in contact with (or something like that, I'm simplifying it), but some can repel them. Those reaction might cause heat, but the acids are not hot themselves.

Lava on the other end, burns stuff. They don't dissolve it, they burn it, incinerate them, basically destroy them.

I didn't do much chemistry at school either, but I did read some stuff out of curiosity, I recommend you do too, it's quite fascinating honestly ^^
