Ascension at Sunset, chapter 1 By NewRebellion -- Report

During her research into magic, Sunset comes across a very intriguing rumor. According the ancient tome she'd found hidden in the farthest corners of the restricted section of the Royal Library, there was a secret but forbidden way of attaining ascension as an alicorn. It was a rite of ascension that she was almost certain Princess Celestia and Princess Cadance had also undergone. So, rather than pursuing rumors pertaining to a certain mirror, she decided to research this interesting field of pony magic assimilation.

You guys would not believe the number of authors on this site I've contacted in an effort to get this story written, only to be denied or turned down each time! Talk about frustrating. So, I decided to just bite the bullet and write it myself.

That being said, given my haphazard updating schedule, I have no idea when or even if I'll get around to writing a sequel to this story.

I guess it all depends on the kind of response I'll get from you guys as readers. The ball is in your court now.

This was pretty decent, I'm surprised you had difficulty getting it commissioned though. It seems you have further plans for this, I'd like to see how it goes.

So was there any particular problem that kept this from being made by someone else?
Obviously its within those authors rights to turn down a project they don't want but if so many have done so that makes me pretty curious to the reason.

One guy had fallen out of writing and become obsessed with vore-styled rp. One discovered that he has a very finite line of preferred vore styles he'd read/write. One just wasn't interested. One was too busy with life and work. One didn't like Sunset Shimmer.

The list keeps going, but those were the common ones.
