If I had to guess: Lefaw has already spread influence to every corner of this realm, and she’s proven that. She can be anywhere, but she’s not everywhere, and that’s the key. Because she can’t be omnipresent, Gretel is able to tinker with…well basically the ground and use Lefaw’s influence against her. Because Lefaw can connect to everything, that means there must be a path for everything to connect, and thats what Gretel has infected. If I had to guess, we have nowhere near enough information for a full conclusion on the matter, this is just my dumb brain taking bits and pieces and putting together a theory >.<
