the other two seem into it

They only agreed to do the challenge because they both REALLY wanted to be eaten. Steph did it for clout, and the other girl did it because of peer pressure lol

Lol they really should have asked. That’s the problem of jumping down the throat of any random pred; you never now how “merciful” they plan to be.

Don't worry, he definitely will. The thing is, THEY don't know that.

No, they eat both guys and girls. Lamont prefers girls, but aside from that, they eat anyone.

My commissions go for 40$. As for fanart, I’m always open to it! I’m perfectly okay with other people drawing my characters. Just tag me when you do it.

Pretty sure this is gonna end with some fatal vore....

So if reformation is a choice does that mean soul vore or predscapes are a thing in this universe? Like is there a benefit to not reforming someone other than the fact you’re murdering them if you do? Does it make you more powerful? Can you use information from the digested prey? Heck since preds in this verse seem to have their own quirks could a pred gain access to more “pred power” by not reforming a pred they ate? Is that why they’re so territorial? So many questions! Is there a counterpart to Preds? Like natural Prey that benefit from Preds in symbiosis rather than just being ordinary humans at the whims of an OP subspecies. Honestly the ability for Preds collectively as a “species” being able to reform prey brings up a lot of interesting questions.

Sorry, you’re probably not in it for the world building but I can’t help being curious! It’s rare to find a setting where Preds are established as legitimately a subspecies rather than just a fluke of magical realism.

Honestly, I haven't thought about all of those things, but I'm genuinely glad you've asked! I enjoy discussing world-building, so this is not a bother. Get ready for a long reply though.

Reformation: Preds are a subspecies that have "evolved" alongside regular humans with the aid of some kind of magical abilities that aren't fully understood. The reformation is a survival tactic that's suitable to modern civilization. Preds gain energy after every meal, even after bringing them back to life. Still, while it's satisfying for a few days, they'll inevitably need to do it often because Preds naturally have a massive appetite. But suppose too many people go missing: In that case, it can lead to the Pred getting arrested or even killed because regular people see them as a threat (understandably). Because of this, the reformation clause exists as a way for Preds to coexist peacefully alongside normal humans without restraining their appetites and avoiding scrutiny.

Not Reforming Prey: Preds reform prey because they usually lack subtlety: Preds just grab and eat any random they can find on the spot, and do so frequently, so other people would likely catch on very quickly. Crueler Preds that eat people without reformation usually tend to be a LOT more cunning, manipulative, and secretive (almost like a serial killer). Not reforming prey also creates more weight gain that adds up over time, so if a Pred is fatter and bigger than usual, it's usually a warning sign to other Preds to avoid them. Preds that don't reform also don't need to eat as often, (not that that stops them). Eating prey and not reforming them feels more satisfying, but it's also a slippery slope that can lead to a Pred becoming more monstrous.

Territorialism: Preds are very solitary by nature; its like how wolves get aggressive when other packs or animals are on their hunting grounds. Too many Preds in one area means less food and more competition. Sometimes Preds make alliances where they kind of "imprint" on each other, and the aggression levels go way down, which is the case with Zack, Lamont and Oscar. This is why Zack feels so comfy being drunk around the other two, as he knows they won't eat him.

Quirks: Preds develop different modes of digestion based on their own personal priorities. In this way, no two are alike, so you never know what you're gonna get. Zack, for example, tries to digest as painlessly and quickly as possible, so his stomach acid secretes aphrodisiac and peristaltic fluid. Lamont is a sadist, so his stomach acids are just harsh enough to cause pain but not so harsh that it digests prey too quickly. And Oscar sees prey purely as food, so his stomach is adjusted to eating large amounts at once.
