Wait what? They're forms are digested but the gems are ok? So that means... This can just keep happaning? Can fusions like Opal have the same effect?

Well duh, gems are tough! Why, a few years back someone did the math when... I forget her name, the purple one. Fell from a cliff and cracked her gem, it was the equivellent of a shongun blast to the chest.
