Same father as Crystal and Jerod, but different mother. Emerald comes from a previous mateship, her mother dying shortly after her egg hatched. She belongs to an older clutch of less elemental-based dragon siblings, who tend to be a bit more rowdy than the younger siblings. Emerald is very kind and motherly, especially to Samantha. Sam would never tell anyone, but Emerald was her favorite of the aunts and uncles, being like a second mother to her growing up.

She is together with a rather large Hisuian Typhlosion, who is more liberal about gobbling Samantha.
