Hunters and the conservative people in this universe are generally adverse to demis, but many won't pursue them with hatred and intent to kill unlike Noah. It used to be worse in the past though.
Seems once its her family on the line Evelyn is willing to put that naturalist "Nothing personal its just nature" philosophy to the side and draw things out. Evelyn's rage is understandable considering that her son was shot by the hunter, but at the same time, how many sons and daughters has she added to her curves?
Ultimately... I do see that Evelyn is in the wrong. Sure the Hunter might be a dick, but at the end of the day this whole situation came about because Evelyn decided to hunt the random people of the town who probably never had anything to do with her traumatic past. She's masking her actions as natural hunting but really she's been lashing out at the mob that hut her years ago, oblivious to how this will backfire and harm those she cares about.
Once again you've blown me away with this story. I'm invested in these characters to the point where I'm writing paragraphs about there moral standing and thoughts after all.
I don't know how this situation will end, but I'm going to follow this to the end. Whenever and however it happens. Now that you've written a quality story here.

Do the hunters hate all demis or were they hostile because of the disappearances.

I half wondering is there anything Noah do to talk his way out, maybe offering his own life for that of the son.

Now that's a turn I didn't think it would take.
