Ever since Adventure Time's "Flute Spell" came out in... 2016!? Geez, has it been that long? Man, I'm old!
Ahem! As I was saying, ever since "Flute Spell" came out, I've always wanted to write a Huntress Wizard fic. Her design was cool af, and when she was formally given a personality, I loved her to death. Something about the mixture of a cool, level-headed hunter type with Adventure Time's more... eccentric humor gelled well with me. Now here was a girl who understood the world she was in, how chaotic things could be, yet carved out a niche for herself. Found a place to call her own, a role that sat well with her, and owned it like a boss. And when Huntress Wizard was confronted by a new perspective, of exploring emotional intimacy with Finn despite fearing it made her weak, she took it in stride. Never crumbling under pressure, yet steadily opening up as a person and embracing her emotions.
Huntress Wizard... she, well, she felt like a very healthy, mature approach to life and romance. One where a relationship's pace is dictated by both partners, and while opening yourself up and accepting the dangers associated with that can be empowering, this life change needn't define her. That being a stoic soul with a sexual lifestyle needn't be an inherent contradiction. That mindset is one that I admire, even if I've struggled to follow it in real life.
Personal issues aside, I've wanted to write a Huntress Wizard story like that for ages, one that explores how Huntress finds a middle ground between her romance with Finn and her own lifestyle. "I Won't Say its Love" is my first foray into it. Never planned for the story to involve vore, but life plays out in funny ways. And of course, since the story is a romance and Huntress Wizard does make Finn a goal, perhaps my ambition is flawed from the offset? Still, I wanted to see how far this whole thing goes; if I made mistakes here, perhaps a sequel can fix it? Because while this story might be a standalone, I'd like it to be more.
That, or I'll write another Huntress Wizard story down the line that fixes the problems inherent in this fic. Either option works. So please, if you have the time, be sure to favorite this fic, leave comments below, and perhaps leave some constructive feedback. Something to make the next Huntress Wizard story that much better and polished.

Thanks! She is sorely underrepresented in Adventure Time smut, including this site. So if no one else is gonna make it, then I will!

I am strongly considering it. This story was originally planned to be first of a seven chapter fic. In each chapter, Huntress Wizard would eat one or more princesses, or anyone else she felt threatened her relationship with Finn. This included lesser known characters like Lizard Princess to main characters like Susan Strong & Jake the Dog. Doesn’t matter if they were a genuine threat or not.
The deeper I got into it, however, the more repetitive the plot felt, and the more Huntress Wizard defined herself to the relationship. The former grew boring and the latter unfaithful to HW’s characterization. So I stopped midway through chapter 2.
If I can remake the story into something more substantial, I will. Giving Huntress reason to eat half of Ooo really groks with me. If not, I have a few other Huntress Wizard stories in mind, like her devouring Marceline when the vampire queen & her ghost friends start a fire in Alberon Forest. Another is Huntress eating Fern and saving Finn in an alternative end to “Three Buckets.”
Of course, I’ve got a few other projects I’m juggling in the meantime, so it’ll be a while before I start any of these ideas. This story actually reached completion sometime in September of last year; only recently did I find time to edit it. But if inspiration strikes and this story proves popular like my Amphibia & Owl House stories, I’ll lean into AT content more.

Perhaps the original premise could shift? Instead of obsessing about princesses who wanna “steal” Finn from her or people who wanna separate them, Huntress could eat people for other “heroic” reasons. Like someone tries to cut down trees or starts a fire in Alberon Forest? Flame Princess clearly has no problem burning stuff down. The main throughline is Finn & Huntress getting closer romantically, but she still clearly has her own life & ambitions.
… perhaps Princess Bubblegum notices the disappearing princesses and investigates it?

And in turn, Finn could play a bigger role too. He wouldn’t learn about Huntress Wizard’s actions, but he’d take active strides to deepening the bond too. And while I don’t wanna bite off more than I can chew then disappointing myself with too much speculation, I would be content to make this into a bigger project.

That Finn and Jake episode hit particularly hard.

That it did. A great way to send off the series; face was full of tears.
