While most Infernas are born wholly from the Flame Undying and Chaos Magic, like molten metal inside a mold twisted into wonderous shape, some Infernas are born differently. Namely, some mortals are cast into the eldritch fire and born anew, their immortal souls infused with Chaos and the Flame's heat. This creates a new Inferna, one with every power and taint endowed to the fell-beasts, but one with the faintest hint of humanity.

This is the fate that befell Kellie. When she reached womanhood, Kellie was sacrificed to the Flame Undying by her family. In exchange for their daughter, Kellie’s parents received magical gifts that would make any cultist blush; such were these supernatural powers that the family went onto to found a coven of the dark arts.

Meanwhile, Kellie burned. She burned and burned and burned for time untold. Her mind was ravaged by agony, her soul scorched of purity. Everything that Kellie was, everything that made her mortal, was burned away by the Flame. Even her memories were burnt, kindling to feed the immortal fire. All Kellie remembers from her past life are the smallest snippets of laughter, the warm sun on her skin, and her reflection in her parent's eyes as they cast her down.

That's why, when Kellie was finally birthed by the Flame Undying alongside the fellow sacrifice, Kari, Kellie vowed to slay her family someday. Never would she forgive them to condemning her to such a torturous fate; never would she forgive such callous abandonment. Deep in her demonic soul, Kellie bears an undying hatred for her family, one which will never be quelled until blood is spilled and their broken bodies join the damned along the fiery fields of the Inferium.

But hey, why let that get her down? No, Kellie doesn’t have time to mope, when there’s places to see, things to do and people to kill. She’s a boss bitch who gets what she wants, after all. She knows she and Kari will get their revenge sooner or later, so she doesn’t sweat the small things in the meantime.

And besides, Kari might be a little airheaded and self absorbed, but there are worse sisters out there.
