Terravora Beginner's Guide By ThisisHalloween239 -- Report

Here is a beginner's guide to an original world that is created by my Discord group. It is sort of a follow-up to this post I made. If you read this and are interesting in joining, I hope you consider clicking the link to the post I made advertising it.

This no offense seems like a blatant rip off of Warhammer/warcraft . I kind of find the Phallecians , very misogynistic in idea thanks but no thanks

I've literally never played warhammer/warcraft. Also how are the Phallecians misogynistic?

Let’s take this apart A gay society of twinks with large asses (that have anime boob physics). They do have women but they mainly serve the roles of workers. Phallecians have great speed and agility, are quite skilled fighters (mainly in archery), the woman serve no other role but as workers they .The key here is “no other role as workers full stop right there” if that’s not misogynistic and you can’t see how that isn’t dunno how to better explain it other then they have no social mobility. Number 2 Men can impregnate other men that be a biological advantage over woman in a same sex society , in traditional hunter gatherer societies woman actually hunted , but you relegated them to just “workers”

Do you also have a problem with the Amazons that just use the men in their culture as slaves and convert other men into their slaves? Different cultures are going to have different beliefs and traditions. Like, unless you think what a creator puts into their work reflects their actual beliefs, I don't really see the problem. I'm not trying to be rude I'm just confused by this criticism.

No I respect artistic freedoms but these societies don’t exactly have healthy views or worse cause them to break down and eventually face internal strife , why there is such a heavy focus on sexuality , when your going for a more grounded setting is at odds with itself

As I said, different cultures are going to have different traditions. One of the things with Terravora is that different members can go different directions with their ideas. Some can go full throttle with the kink stuff and some can ignore them entirely, and both directions are equally valid and accepted.

Well you say mainly you don’t exactly go into explicit detail of what other roles, Kaos = chaos from Warhammer , Ogrim = Ogrim Doomhammer , and then you have the amazons who view other cultures woman as no less then animals

Well yeah, most of the cultures we have right now are ideas, they haven't been fully developed yet. And yeah, I said that I have never played warhammer/warcraft, the server isn't just me and I didn't create everything in it myself.

Again, I'm not really understanding your criticism here.

You may have not have played these settings . But it just seems so much is taken from other sources rather than to try and build something new. It seems like the kinks take precedent over logic and not so much the implications. There are ideas here, but I think you gotta decide exactly what your aim is. If it’s grounded, the goal would take precedence to survive not be so focused on kinks or cultures that seem more likely to suffer break downs due to lack of social mobility or toxicity of who does what when logic dictates survival comes first

The goal is to create a fun yet grounded setting. We're still making the history of this world and a lot can change with these cultures as history progresses. We're currently at the point where most of these cultures do have their own civilization, kingdoms, and their own beliefs.

The red sun is a mash up of two cultures if I’m understanding this right that are completely night and day of each-other and have practiced genocide on one another during world war 2 and the modern day era . In addition there somewhat Isolationist , I find that somewhat contradictory , you also have a rule that says no wmd’s but at the same time you have experiments and genetic modifications going on that kind of make it inseparable as well as a specialized people that live in these rotlands how is this not wmd’s? I think this is more a fantasy setting then grounded

The answer your first concern, the Red Sun is more inspired by Japanese and Chinese cultures in terms of visuals and certain titles and dynamics. They are mostly their own unique culture.

To answer the second concern, when I refer to wmd's, I am mainly talking about things such as chemical weapons, nuclear weapons, etc. I could be wrong but genetic modifications and experiments would not fall into the category of a wmd. And the people that live in the rotlands are specially made to live in the rotland environment. Similar to how neanderthals were specially built for cold areas.

I hope that cleared things up and sorry if the guide gave off any confusion.
