Being a young Apex pred himself, Ash can swallow large preys with no problem. The hard part usually comes later, when he actually has to let them back out. Among preds, this is known as the "prey's revenge" : when the big guy you digested to death without a second thought a couple of days ago now makes you feel like you're fighting for your life.
Sure, they're a broken mess by then, but it still doesn't make shitting out bones-filled logs thicker than your own thigh any less unpleasant.
Oh well... It'll get better eventually. After all, it's just a matter of practice~

In all fairness it was a *really* big guy and Ash knew full well that his ass was going to take a beating next time he hit the bathroom :V
But he still went through with it and ate the guy because his momma didn't raise no quitter.
