This story includes scenery and characters from the final two worlds of Guardian Tales, and is staged immediately after the final battle, during the ending of the game. I heavily recommend experiencing the game and its ending before reading this story or the summary below.

After Dark Magician Beth’s defeat at the hands of the Resistance, the Invaders flee. Finally given time to breathe, the Knight is faced with a weighty decision: leave to go back to their own time, or stay in this time and help the remaining survivors rebuild? Turning their back, ready to leave, the Princess speaks up, offering that the Knight stay one more night, since there is no longer any threat from the Invaders. Taking her up on the offer, the Knight turns around and steps forward, away from the portal. While they make their way back to camp, the Princess thinks of a way she can ensure that she never loses her Knight again…


First time writing fan-fiction, which I’ve never particularly thought myself to be fond of. This isn’t the first time I’ve thought about this idea, but I haven’t really felt like writing in a while, either. Thought about it this time, though, and I really enjoyed the idea in my head and enjoyed making that idea into a story, so I hope it isn’t too bad. Actually took some time and put some more effort than I did when I wrote before. Every time I’d write before it would pretty much be ‘have the idea and write the story all in one night.’ This one I took a bit more time on, writing the general plot, then breaking that down into a few different sections, and writing one portion each night, which ended up taking me about a week and a half. Not much longer than my other works, but I still think it turned out alright. Feel free to let me know anything you think I could’ve done better. I like trying to improve, but I’m also stupid and ignorant sooo :p
