In this Cardcaptor Sakura story, Adam Loren once reformed from another universe having collapsed but the one he's currently in feels different, The world's magical levels are going off the charts so he decides to move back to Japan in order to go undercover and figure out if this magic is owned by someone or is wild magic, Turns out to be the Ladder option but seeing the Magical individual is one thing, actually keeping the secret and having another believe he will keep the secret is another thing.

This story also is confirmation that even before Adam was cursed, he had a teeny bit of Magic in him before the curse, he just didn't know because of dying 12 years old and then finding out 120 billion years later.
