=Serpent Green=
A long line formed in front of the "Green Foods" store already the night before the specified date, because it was announced that a new batch of "Serpent Green" would finally be delivered. There were rumors that the cloning apparatus at the Green Foods, Inc. factory that offered this sought-after specialty was damaged, but now there was the official announcement that they had only made alterations to increase production, the short-term supply shortage was over.
She had no idea why she hadn't heard about it before, but now through this announcement Joily learned about this product, a claimed delicacy supposedly made from clones of herself. When she went by the Green Foods to inquire how it could be that clones of herself were being produced and made into food, and she had not been told about it, she was cheered frenetically by those waiting, and she turned on her scales.
In the night, she therefore sneaked into the production site to take a look herself. Her pink hair tucked under a black cap, her Joily-Purple(TM) colored dress replaced by a black jumpsuit that only had a hole for her belly scales, black soot stripes on her cheeks and a night vision device in front of her eyes, she slipped past the security who was fully occupied with a computer game.
"Strange, shouldn't a company that has supply shortages put in night shifts?" the Lamia wondered, sliding through the empty production hall. Nowhere was there even a trace of a cloning apparatus. Backwards, she walked along the production line. In the opposite direction, this led to the delivery. Now she advanced closer and closer to the source of "Serpent Green."
An apparatus from which the canned goods were filled was fed by several supply lines. None of them was a cloning apparatus.
Instead...
Her stomach turned in horror. What people were being offered as her flesh was merely analog meat, a Joily plagiarism made from cheap chickpea protein and fiber, and spiced up with flavor enhancers. She didn't know what should take over in her: the disgust, or the irrepressible anger that someone even had come up with the idea of replacing a product made from her luxury body with such a sham. But it was the same. What mattered now was to save people from the alleged enjoyment of this fake lamia.
Morning was already dawning, and the first impatient customers were crowding into the freshly opened store when Joily, still in her black outfit, slid toward the crowd as fast as she could, yelling, "Serpent Green is hummus meat!"

And did you know it was supposed to play in 2022?
Plus, I forgot to mention that in the description, so I do it here: I got the idea for this story by wondering, why Joily did call her game and discord server "Snake Green" instead of this obvious name.

I haven't seen that movie in a long time (I'm in my early 50s), so I don't remember what year it set in.
