"I want you to look up and see what happened to the last guy who tried to date these 'things'." "They may talk like a human, walk like one and even have the physical features of one, but they are out for one thing, to eat you, wise up, leave the planet."
For these species, meals carry more emotional weight then anything else in their culture. They become so attached to their food, they often will show off what they ate to their fellow tribe members. One certain tradition, the "Meal Bond" is when one creates a emotional bond with their meal to be (like finding a life mate), often spending weeks with them before ultimately eating them. Once chosen, the person is hidden away from other tribe members, getting to know one another and feeding them sweets, often to fatten them up. The snake may not eat for the whole time, getting hungrier and hungrier, this tests their love for the meal to eat. After some time, the snake will then start to consume the person (more then likely when sleeping) very slowly. Once eaten, the snake will then show everyone in the tribe, often bragging and talking about their meal's life story all while digesting inside. After digestion, all the bones, except the skull, is removed.
The semi translucent belly holds the skull of their "Meal Bond" for as long as the snake lives, forever being apart of them...
