The Shura clan, widespread all over the kingdom, it's but a secret to all mortals, living among them, hiding in plain sight, passing off as particular and eccentric individuals, their existence is unknown to everybody, Izayoi is part of this clan, it’s been 10 years since she moved to the Mangetsu village, known for her playful, kind and extroverted attitude, Izayoi has also grown fond of her neighbors and other residents, her most well-kept secret, it’s her clan…

The Shura Clan goes way back to her ancestors, enticed by a demon, a pact was formed to obtain power and immortality, regardless, nothing is free, and the price was high, each full moon, their powers manifested as semi-demonic traits over their bodies, losing themselves and going into a frenzy, razing surrounding villages to the ground, devouring their residents, which, eventually led the clan to isolate themselves from the rest world, very little information is found about the clan, lost over centuries, the incidents of those few villages that were obliterated, passed as a legend known as Yamamba, nothing to link it to the actual facts.

Over generations, clan members investigated their transformations, the origin of what they considered a full moon curse, finally unraveling the truth, the demonic changes under the full moon burned insane amounts of energy more than what any mammal can hold, which sends them into a survival state to recover energy, by whatever means necessary, no matter the consequences.

Since then, future generations practice what is known to them as selective hunting before the full moon, so they can get enough energy prior to their transformation, and avoiding the feared demonic frenzy, Izayoi has lured her unfortunate victim to an isolated place and used a technique developed by her clan to devour it, no trace left, no witnesses, a necessary sacrifice... for her, and the village.
