Kobold are often found near dragons and have for as long as kobold and dragons existed , kobolds have been little more than slaves or pets for a dragons, often raised in large common hatching areas , born in to the world to serve dragon where it as soldiers, slaves or snacks , a few of the lucky ones might rise to places of power if they have a valuable skill but most are used for dragon toys.

Kobolds, often easily cowed and easy to inspires worship, doing anything needed , in short all the menial stuff dragon did not like for Goldie she was the same, a young kobolds, Goldie witness her owner dragon the great dragon Merrick who was a rather large and rich if cruel dragon tyrant of the great under mountain and great hall of Eara-zhak,, well known for eating kobolds for well any reason.

Goldie was born of part of a small clutch of kobolds Goldie was always different not only when she a golden dark colours, but form a young age she seem more determined, always wanting to get the best.

With her gold colouring she stood out, and by the time she was 18, Merrick always amused by her colour appointed her to guard one of his lower level dungeons, she surprised him by defeating a high level southlander adventure party , by turning them against one another with coin, giving tribute to one half of the party and allowing them though while, fighting the other half of the party.
The southlander party soon fell in to fighting devouring each other, only for Goldie to devour the winner, leaving only a single member of the party to flee back with a message never to return.

Merrick was impressed with her and so prompted her to underboss of the Great Hall of Eara-zhak, where she was able to defeat serval adventuring parties often sending them back with a message never to return.
Merrick took a liking to his favourite kobold prompting her up the rungs of the dungeons, though he slowly soured on her, she was tricky, and he found he had to often threaten her to give gold that was rightly his worse still he had to do it in person as often serval underboss often vanished around her.

Merrick soon thought of eating her after all it never pays to have uppity subordinate , through he would never get the chances too a raid by the dwarfs of the hill led by the great breasts queen “merr-zahk” and a goblin glad let by the shaman “sloshing sally” descend on both the upper and lower dungeons.
Merrick mobilized his defence to secure his hoards, kobolds, gnolls , trolls, and more where sent in to deal with both of threats before they could do reach the hoards…………and where swiftly recalled as they where not needed.

The dwarfs where promised a swift passage through the mountain and a chance to raid the hated elf’s next valley other, while the goblins where promised good steel and armour in return for defeating some nearby halflings.
Both parties where led down the same routes, where they soon bumped in to each other and a series of tangled skirmish erupted that soon left both parties engorged, and when Goldie happily offered a ceasefire and way for the both for the bloated parties out, they accepted , they even played her to guide them out.

Merrick a little taken about by its, made worse by the fact serval kobold started to obey her without question and how both dwarf and goblin seemed to hold her in high regard.

Form here it was downward spiral between the two already on edge Goldie and Merrick would argue and snipe at each other, till serval days after the battle, Merrick invited Goldie to his peroneal sanctum to settle there differences the door closed many of Goldie supporters thought that would be the last time they would see of her.

To their surprised she emerged 7 days later looking rather pudgy and refreshed, ordering her followers to seize the hoards , she called a all hands meeting in the great hall, gathering together mercs trolls, gnolls and more, Goldie proclaimed herself the queen of the Undermountain , with the hoard, and now sat on the skull of her old master, no one objects.

Her grip on power was swift, with a hoard of gold, strategic planning and promise of better treatment , Goldie swiftly crushed any threat to her power and took control of serval nearby holds expanding her reach deep in to the Undermountain.

Much to the surprise of serval dwarf and goblin clans, she was more willing to make a deal, often playing in to factions desire for power, trading or double crossing them, after serval raids and wars, a great many power are content to leave her be, seeing more use in her as a trading partner and paying tribute to cross their land, which they grudgingly admit is better protected and maintained under her rule.

To adventurers seeking treasure they will be disappointed, while there are plenty of guide offering way in to the Undermountain or great halls, promise riches, gathered by kobolds, or kind in tribute to the new queen of the under mountain , it is often a lie, plenty of guides are well paid for meals they bring often adventures are led down blind alleys and small tunnels in to the waiting guts of a kobold, other times they might find themselves led gallery that ends with the gut of a gnoll .

For most adventures it is far better to pay tribute to Goldie’s to make for the Undermountain many door and offer tribe and service to the queens, while plenty of adventure might be hired to deal with the Undermountain many monster problems, some of the luckier one get to meet her in person , showering her with gold, praise and tribute, playing in to her greedy tenderices and vanity in return for bones and right of passage.

The unlucky one get to join her throne, while Merrick was not that good a ruler he made for a great thrones, symbol of her powers, and the green collect kobold would like nothing mreo to add people to it no matter who , after all show her power.
