While Mabel and Ron are probably one of America's longest-lived predator/prey couples in the present day, when they first started dating back in the mid-80s, things were a little... Different.

Back then, Mabel openly considered Ron as a potential meal that she initially decided to keep around because he's hot and gives really good belly massages. She ended up growing genuinely attached to him over time, though, and while she still feels tempted to eat him even to this day, she simply loves him too much to give in~

Oh, and she's lying, by the way. Not about the whole "I'll add you to my waistline if you don't show up when I want you to" thing, mind you; about needing a belly massage in the first place. Her stomach can handle two preys just fine, she just likes being pampered.

Flat colors version of that pic I uploaded the other day. I think I did a pretty good job at conveying the vintage vibe of that 1980s living room; I actually used an actual wallpaper motif from that time period, I hope it's not too jarring.
