It's finally here! Part 1 of my novel, Going Home, has landed!
After a brief look at Dari's days before her life-altering event, we jump back to the present, to a moment that would kick off a decision and journey the shrunken explorer had long avoided...
Part 1 is comprised of three scenes, so you could look at it as three chapters, but I wasn't about to release these in such small portions (as the whole novel is 24 "scenes" of varying lengths). I enjoy how I begin this story, and set the stage for what's to come. Hope you all enjoy, and look forward to more in the upcoming weeks!
Oh, and some of you may recognize this part's closing scene from a certain sketch Jora made a couple of years ago...

I cant believe I missed the part where Dari and Connie made up. And man is this set-up exciting, cant wait for the following chapters.

Oh you didn't miss that resolution between Rida, Connie and Dari - I just never finished it! I wrote a big chunk of it, didn't like how it was coming out, and I haven't tried again since. But I still hope to finish that one some day.
And glad to get you excited! It's going to be fun seeing reactions over the next several weeks.

I am so used to seeing Majora as the more cruel dom sort of thing, but seeing her affectionate like this is so damn sweet!

That more cold or indifferent attitude is certainly the norm for Majora, but as this story shows she's certainly capable of genuine affection as well (though the former attitude may show its head at some points in the story...)
And at the very least these affectionate moments are not unprecedented. The ending scene of this part is depicted in this sketch from 2 years ago after all! https://aryion.com/g4/view/708284
