The Ghost Witch pursues the Gem Witch full of rare gem stones. Unfortunately for her, the Gem Witch has tracked down the very rare Quilimate, or "Balance Gem", which can bring order to that which is in discord. Love and hate, good and evil, and yes, even life and death.
Acting quickly, the Gem Witch uses the Balance Gem to, at least, separate the Ghost Witch's soul from her body, which have been in flux for who knows how long. Of course, the Ghost Witch is not pleased, having lost her corporeal form, but the Gem Witch moves in and swallows her body before she can reclaim it.
