I got a Game Boy for my 8th birthday, in the early 90s. The original grey brick, and I LOVED that thing. Played it constantly, and tried to collect as many games as I could. Unfortunately we couldn't afford them - it was just Tetris for the first couple months, but that game kicks ass. I still play it on mobile and PC. Luckily we visited my uncle that summer, and he had a decent collection of NES and GB games. He was willing to give me 3-4 of his, including Super Mario Land.

At that young, the game was pretty hard, and took me months to beat. But the catchy music, new enemy designs, and unique levels made it a favourite pretty quick. So as a tribute, here is Princess Daisy, who made her first appearance in that game, getting eaten by the first boss, King Totomesu. Instead of bringing her to the alien Tatanga as order, he decides to strip and eat Daisy for dinner. The princess seems to be in too much of a daze to realize it. Maybe the heat has gotten to her bare skin, or that munching on her butt is just too distracting! Well, seems Mario won't be rescuing her in this case!

Okay, I'm not as much of a fan of Daisy as I am the other Princesses, but those fangs must hurt going into her skin.

She can be annoying as a character, but preferred over Daisy when she's playable. More my style.
I imagined him biting into her backside just enough to turn the skin red, not to puncture. Perhaps the king doesn't like the taste of blood? Although he seems to like the taste between her legs!

These core memories remind me of my own childhood, playing the gameboy advanced sp on long roadtrips to my fathers place stationed in oklahoma

Oh yes - I have similar memories with the original Game Boy, on roadtrips to British Columbia. Sometimes I'd just use it to listen to game music, too

I've had a long-standing desire to see Princess Daisy in more situations that end in her doom, that both:

- is inversely proportional to how many Mario games I've played that actually have her in them

- makes Eka's portal even more frustrating* to browse than usual for me because almost everyone insists on having her be the pred

so cheers to you for having Daisy be the one being eaten here and making the thing eating her not be afraid to actually use it's teeth.

Oh yeah, I did Daisy prey. I'll fuckin do it again, too! LOL

I've played a lot of Mario Party and Kart games with Daisy playable, and she was often a go-to character. There are moments in those games where she can be eaten - teporarily, as part of a minigame loss or track obstacle - but still!

I'll definitely draw her again one day, eaten by another Mario baddie, no doubt...

The only Mario game I ever played which had Daisy in was Kart DS and it has been forever since... I did also play Super Mario Land, but she barely looks like herself in that lmao.

Wonder looks really good to me so if it weren't for my lack of any consoles I'd probably give that a spin (I've had terrible luck with "seafaring" when it comes to the Switch, if you know what I mean). It's still really funny that she only became playable in Wonder because a game dev happened to have TWO girl children and witnessed them fighting over who got to play as Peach.

anyway I look forward to more stuff featuring Daisy being chomped.

I only just realized that I didn't include the footnote that I intended to put for the * in that comment, but that's fine, it was a bit petty anyway. I'll keep it to myself unless you really wanna know

Oooo, Kart DS was a big favourite of mine! I played Daisy a lot, but Dry Bones was my usual. Also played SML a lot as a kid, but she barely has a presence there.

Ah, I didn't know that's why Daisy made it into Wonder! Only makes sense; I've played Mario Party, Kart, and NSMB games with groups of other girls, and half of us would have to play a dude in some!

Not sure when, but I'd definitely like to draw her eaten again. When I'm back to a gaming mood, which I think will be soon...

No worries, if best kept to yourself, might as well...

speaking of gaming... I've got to finish playing Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore. It's so cool someone made a decent game inspired by those infamous CD-i Zelda games that spawned YouTube Poop and ludicrous amounts of memes.

Oh, I hadn't heard of it, bit just looked at the Steam page - pretty authentic with its cutscenes, but the gameplay looks far better. Reminds me of Shantae a little.

I have one of the Shantae games on my Steam account but I haven't finished it yet. Something about the gameplay didn't quite hook me as much as I expected it to.

Ah, they're on my wish list, so some day.
I've only played the GBA one, but seen lots of gameplay
