This is amazing. The way he's melting is an A+. I think what I really like about it is how it's a melty digestion, but also gruesome.

Usually if there's a melty digestion it's kind of cartoony, it can take some of the punch out of it.
And other forms of graphic digestion tend to not hit the level of hopelessness of being melted.

I think your depiction here is the best of both worlds. He's just in such a hopeless and horrible state. <3

Did you use anything as reference when drawing this?

Also, I noticed this is kind of a new level of intensity based on your previous depictions of digestion. I was wondering; what was the impetus for making this one more gruesome than pretty much all of your previous drawing?

1) I didn't actually use reference for the graphic digestion part, but I am influenced by a lot of horror esque works. Junji Ito, Nakayama Masaaki, AOT (not like plain horror, but depiction of death is sometimes intense), and just general horror stuff.

2) With Sherry Yamaguchi (Pred), I want her works / world to be darker because the subject matter of vore is inherently dark imo. Plus, I've been meaning to shift a darker with my depiction of vore recently. With Sherry specifically, she's essentially a serial killer with vore aspects, so for this comic I wanted a "realistic" depiction. FYI this universe is seperate from my Colossal universe which is actually pretty dark too, but in this case I get to focus solely on her (at least for now).

Ah, that's very interesting to know. Would you say you're approaching this with more of an intention to make something that is considered Horror instead of NSFW? or is it kind of a balancing act between the two?

A mix between the two. I try to balance it or it becomes less "horny" for me. I like a specific blend of realism. Without that context, vore kind of becomes mostly boring for me? Thats why im so picky when it comes to the type of content i like. Im just creating what i want to see!
