I played around with Stable Diffusion a lot early last year. I never got into manipulating or refining the products from that (inpainting, outpainting, etc), but it was a lot of fun to explore outlandish conceptual combinations in a matter of minutes.
One of my favorite little chapters of AGI involved putting these girls in hardhats and rubber ponchos in vast factoryscapes. It was a cool vibe.
I've made a lot of progress lately, in terms of style and technique - mostly by trying to sketch other artists' random works and taking note of how each one goes about illustrating things. Mostly in linework, for now. I've found many fun and efficient ways to draw things doing this - either directly from the image being sketch-copied, or just from incidental experimentation along the way.
This (original) sketch uses a lot of what I've developed recently. I like it. It feels very comfy. Maybe eventually, I'll have all the pieces I need to rebuild those AI daydreams, my own way - for now, I've got this.
