This one is about usual length and has the typical level of despair you'd expect from me, so if anyone was particularly scared off by my last one, then don't worry. I'll return to that level sometime in the future, but for now enjoy Filit.

Speaking of, don't expect an April Fools gag tomorrow. Still in low spirits and frankly I'm out of ideas. Feel like I've done all the good ones and it's just scraps at this point, so... Life. That is the April Fools joke this year. Please laugh.

Yeah, getting older. The usual. More importantly, I have some pretty good news: I've been hard at work writing these first few months of the year and I've worked up a nice little backlog of stories to post o: Hoping to get one of them out by the end of this month, so look forward to that!


But yeah, these few I've written will probably be the last Filit stories for a while. It's been fun, but I wanna focus on other aspects of the setting, maybe even write a little primer for the world to help people get better acquainted with it, if they're interested. Also, a bigger cast of recurring characters, too. Maybe even some content for the people not so interested in lolis, too o: I think that'd be fair!

Would've made this blog sooner, but I honestly wasn't sure how to sell this story in this place. Like... it's definitely proven controversial so far, but I don't want to piggyback that too hard since it's a bit cynical. It is, however, quite bleak and if anyone gets catharsis out of that I would like to hear what you think of it. It's a bit different from my usual fare, more of a 'for me' kinda story than anything else. At the risk of sounding melodramatic, sometimes the best way to cope with the darkness is to ink it to paper and let it out for all the world to see and, well... I've been in a very dark mood lately. I'v actually held onto the concept for a while, but always flinched from writing...

Ignoring all of the important stuff and looking at 2024 from an entirely selfish perspective, I think I had a decent run. 5 stories in one year is very good for me, and though they're all Filit stories, it seems like that's been mostly a positive for my followers! Don't worry; though the Year of Filit is coming to a close, that doesn't mean I'm not full of stories starring our unlucky little thief :3 In fact, expect her to meet some friends who will have runs of their own!

In addition to that, I still have the novella I'm currently working on; I'm in the home stretch and I think it'll come out to around 30k words, making it the single longest story I've ever written for this site. Now, my next story is in the works and has been for almost a month as of writing this. It's an idea I've been sitting on for a while but never really had the energy to write. However my mood's taken a bit of a dark turn over these last couple months and I think this one is the medicine I needed to get it all out of me. Couple of things about it, tho...

a) it's long; am sitting at a bit over 21.5k words at this moment and I'm only just entering the scenario where the vore happens (it'll be broken into chapters to make it more digestible however). Hopefully people will be willing to give it their time...

Inspiration didn't strike this year. I had a concept of an idea, but it was vague and between not being able to flesh it out and a plethora of stresses and distractions over the past month or so, it just wasn't meant to be. So ashamed of myself, sorry :c

So yeah, my next plan is, I guess, to finish one more Filit story before the end of the year, and maybe write another standalone if I get time. Sorry again for the disappointment and I'll try to do better next year.

So yeah! It's now October which means I'll be trying to write a Halloween story soonish o: I'll try to have it written and released soon enough that people will have time to read it before the big day, but no promises. I may even have time for one more Filit story before year's end o: I do want to write a story I've been putting off for a couple years (because I know it'll be super long) but we'll see what happens with that. Might end up putting it off again :c Aside from that, I think I wanna write a little setting primer now that I have a clearer image in my head for it. Don't expect like a detailed wiki or anything...

I'd probably only open it to a select few trusted individuals. Would offer early access to my stories when I finish them, but it is in fact a selfish ploy for me to get more feedback and typo fixes on them before I post them here. How sinister, right?
