As those who know me personally might be aware, I live in a small apartment with my wife and our cat, here in the Nashville area. It's a difficult neighborhood to afford, but it was really our only option: she suffers from multiple physical disorders and needs to live close to her job in order to get to and from work. I work overnight at a local grocery store, and it's largely my income that pays our bills.

One week ago, on Dec. 13th, I was walking to my car when I lost my footing on a patch of black ice in the parking lot outside our apartment. My legs twisted out from under me and I fell, hard, onto my left leg. I hobbled my way to my car and into work, only to be stopped by management and whisked away to the emergency room of our local hospital.

So, after so many months and much running around like a maniac, I'm finally graduating, and I have a new job. I'm working in the produce section of my local WalMart which, while not the most glamorous use of my degree, pays pretty well and will get me back on a solid financial footing. Which is nice, because I not only have a wedding to pay for and apartments to find to move in to, but I've also developed an interest in the rather expensive art of oil painting, and wish to continue that from the work I did in class this semester. D'oh! At least I can pain the face decently in oils, after a little bit of experimenting and playing around after I finished my final piece. Anyways...

I was just fired from my job as a late-night sales person. I received my notice of immediate termination by email, while my cooperating teacher was teaching her third grade class and I was preparing for my fifth grade class later that afternoon. There wasn't an exact reason in the email, but it was pretty clear why I was axed: I wasn't selling enough merchandise.

Understandably, it's a little hard to convince seniors and others with fixed incomes to buy commemorative coins and plates that cost upwards of $30 (after shipping and handling) per item, in the middle of a recession. Our sales average was set at $100 per night, and I was barely reaching an average of $85 per night.

What will you draw?
Just about anything you request, within reason. I guess the better question would be...

What won't you draw?
I will not, under any circumstances, draw anything graphically violent or sexual. No bodies torn limb from limb, no hardcore porn, gushing wounds (or *cough* other things gushing, for that matter)... I don't feel comfortable drawing these things. I also don't think I can draw them well. There are other artists on dA that are much better at such vivid artwork. They'd probably do a much better job than I could.

Wow!... I haven't been on here in forever and a day. Serious about the day part.

How's everyone been? Alright? Good? Man, my gallery here is painfully out of date. I plan on fixing that in the coming months. I feel like it'd would make sense to duplicate my gallery back on DeviantArt here, for people who may not be registered there and who don't intend to.

Also, it'll be nice to post work that I just wouldn't feel comfortable posting on DA. I have a lot of fans there that are under 18, so things like unbirthing that I also enjoy but can't post there, I'd feel a lot better putting here. So keep an eye out for that.
