Progress continues apace. Workload at my job has decreased so I have more time to write. Not sure how to feel about the decreased workload though, I like having things to do. Well, it lets me do the non-vore parts of the writing and brainstorming done so I'll take it. In any event, here's the update. Round 1 is nearly complete!

Well that took a fair bit longer than I thought it would, but I do feel that the final product is that much stronger for it. I've also continued working on the remaining fights for Round 1, which comprises half the total in the entire tournament. Gotta say I'm gonna miss some of these characters, but the dice have spoken and not even my personal feelings will dissuade their cruel intentions. Alas.

Okay, I'm just about done putting the finishing touches on the Opening Day. This is the opening ceremonies of the Goddess Tournament and it introduces all 32 fighters, the major characters running the tournament, sets up the current status of the world, etc. At first it was just the fighters coming in one by one as they were called, giving brief descriptions of them and their origins then moving on. During the editing process though I expanded on this, refining the descriptions and tightening everything up (tenses are my bane in rough drafts) while showing off their personalities as well to make them more lively and complement their biographies in the roster. I still have about five left before it's over, plus the closing bit with Kaiser and a special guest, but the piece currently clocks...

Huzzah, the roster is now done and uploaded. My personal favorites are Rider and Munch, but the dice are impartial so who knows how they'll fare in the battles to come. Work progresses on those at a steady clip, but still no ETA on when the Tournament officially begins. For now you can go look at the roster and pick your own favorites. No pictures for any of them yet, but I'm considering commissioning some basic ones at some point if finances permit since I'm enjoying this project.

Takeover Tale on hold, I vastly overestimated my ability on that one. I'll come back to it eventually, hopefully with more polished skills.

In the meanwhile, I have been working on another project: Goddess Tournament. Main theme is that there's a tournament where the prize is becoming a goddess, but the losers are digested mind, body, and soul by the victor so it's winner-take-all in the most literal meaning. 32 fighters in total. I already drafted up all of them and am currently editing the opening ceremony that'll introduce the roster, which is getting updated as I go with basic details about the characters. Hello everyone, Sliptree again. Here to let you know that due to a bout of illness this past week the scheduled chapter will be delayed until next Monday. However, I do not want to leave just nothing for those who were looking forward to the chapter so I opted to replace what would have been a behind-the-scenes combat roll for this chapter with a Players' Choice instead.

I won't tell you what the choice corresponds to, but you'll find out soon enough when the chapter is posted next Monday. Dawn of the new year and I'm ready to hit the ground running. I successfully won NaNoWriMo and have been keeping busy during December with some Takeover Tale stuff while letting myself get some distance from my novel to come back with a fresh perspective for editing. In any case, now's a good time to announce my current intentions for Takeover Tale.

Right off the bat, I'll begin by saying that I will be updating Takeover Tale with a brand new chapter weekly every Monday. If it is a voting chapter then voting will last for three days before being closed so I can work on that week's chapter.

Hello to anyone who may be reading this and looking for another update to Takeover Tale.

Firstly, this is not an announcement that I'm stopping Takeover Tale. Nah, ain't that. This is however an announcement that I'm currently engaged in National Novel Writing Month, like the past six years or so, which means I'm writing 50K words of a novel over the month. Since I'm currently at 32K words so far with 13 days to go I think I'm doing quite well. So I won't be doing any TT updates until I'm done with that and maybe get some time in with Fallout 4, which I've forbidden myself from playing until I complete NaNo. I had intended to do Takeover Tale concurrent with NaNo, but with my loss of Internet since last Thursday I had a major deficit of words to make up for and only just now...
