Sponsor my writeathon and take my play to the Edinburgh Fringe! Posted 10 years ago
Alright. I tried one of these before, and it went alright. So here we go again.
May the 4th be with me, for one that date I'm going to do a sponsored writeathon. Fifteen solid hours of one. All the money this time is going to an original play which I and some good friends are taking to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer. Yes, I will be in it. Hiring a theatre, getting props, commissioning posters and so on is usually not covered by the rate of return, the veterans of this tell me, so we need to raise about £1000 through bake sales, sketch nights, and of course, this.

And in case you're wondering... yes, at least some of what I'm writing should be the "tasty" stuff. Featuring a brand new and so sadly neglected character, in fact!

The rules...

Don't ask very irritated black gryphons stupid questions. Posted 10 years ago
RULES :
1. Pick one of your OCs.
2. Fill in the questions/statements as if you were your OC.
3. Tag four people to do this meme!
4. Tell people that they been tagged with a link from your journal

OC picked: Damian, elegant master of all which can be brutally murdered. I haven't tagged anyone, because (a) he's not really supposed to know about us and (b) it's all to them, not me.

1. What is your name?
You may call me Damian. That is all you need.

2. Do you know why you were named that?
Given that I chose the name myself I would rather hope so. It is a bastardisation of the old word Damia, meaning to master or to conquer. As to what will be mastered or conquered... well, you haven't asked me that, have you.

Explanation revelation Posted 11 years ago
We've had no phone line for the past few days, which apparently means no internet, which means no Skypies or Yahoonie or Steaminess or anything. I'm typing this on another computer entirely. Darn it you people. I miss you. Hopefully I shall have the mind-link reconnected soon. Until then, I'm sorry that I'm sometimes a bastard and uncommunicative distant twerp. I'm also sorry that Chapter 6 is taking so long. It's ridiculous.

However, the advantage of it is that I've realised how ludicrous it is to keep meself away from my truly loved stories. So after the Chapter finished, my two next projects will be directly advancing Actura's canon, and in the process introducing the final two sets of characters in this perverted tragedy, bringing us to a total of five (Damian and Alex,...

The Counting of the Dragon... Posted 11 years ago
...has just gone up by one. Volscian the Dragon God of the Volscia Marshes has got himself a beautiful reference from an extremely good artist. Go and ogle it here. He's beautiful. Adore him. Worship him. It won't matter, that tail's hungry.
Am I? I might be. The words think so. Posted 11 years ago
That was wonderful.

Alex, Damian, predator and prey, I am so sorry. I have missed you beyond all counting. But now things which loomed as large as Goldeneye in one of his moods (he has recently devoured a planet, incidentally) are behind me; I am freed of their tyrannical hold. And I think I can return to the wonderful writing of the next Chapter of a certain fox and gryphon.

Hell, I have done so already. And it was like pain to a telepath. I'm going to get back into the groove of it now. Aww hell yes. <3
Aid the Gryphon: The best sections of my writing. Posted 11 years ago
Sorry, I'm afraid I'm still off the writing chart. But in the meantime, I'd like to request something of my lovely charming readers. I'm currently engaged in applying for a creative writing course which I would very much like to get into, and the Illuminati behind it have requested a selection of my writing, around 7 pages worth, to showcase what I've got. Some of these will be other pieces of mine, but since it's what finally managed to stick my pen to my paper, I'd like to include some sections from some of the stories on here, because I like to think that I have written them to the best of my ability. And so I come to you as people who actually know what it's like from the other side of the screen. Essentially, if you could, could you suggest to me some of the passages of writing which...

Less than positive news Posted 11 years ago
Firstly, I feel I should apologise to anyone who has talked with me and found me uncommunicative, distant or even completely absent recently. I'm currently under what I, at least consider to be quite a lot of pressure, and I'm afraid my somewhat capricious psyche has become quite introverted and more than a little terse as a result.

The more important result of this, however, is that for the next few months I'm afraid I've decided to suspend my vorish writings almost entirely. I am sorry. They will definitely continue, and that includes any and of all the commissions I've been contacted about. But not right now.

The good news is that I'm not about to stop writing for this time, just stop writing vore. Instead I'll be trying my pen with what might be considered...

And we are done. Posted 11 years ago
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeew.

That was... fun. It really was.

On top of that, Goldeneye now has a proper and serious biography, including a rather nice exploration of his innards, as well as his true nature and maniacal character. It can be found in his reference picture, here. And on top of that, Damian and Alex have between six and eight thousand more words of horrible happenings more in their story - I'm not absolutely sure how much it is. They're not nearly finished - they may not even be halfway, I'm not sure - but I'm very happy to say that Bloody Difficult Plot Section #1 is largely done with, and so it should be fairly plain sailing until what I have earmarked in my mind as Bloody Difficult Plot Section #2. And...

Here goes nothing... Posted 11 years ago
It began at 9:45 am. It will end at 11:45pm tonight.

By which I mean this thing. Wish me luck. Or even better, wish Alex luck, because he's going to need it. Again, anyone wanting to sponsor this ridiculous attempt can donate to [email protected] at paypal. All proceeds go to the excellent aid charity Oxfam.

See y'all on the other side.
Eating people to let people eat - my charity write-a-thon! Posted 11 years ago
Well, pretty much what it says on the tin. :D On this coming Tuesday, the 27th August, I intend to find a quiet spot at eight o'clock in the morning, and write solidly for twelve hours. Not including breaks. The full thing should take from about eight until ten o'clock at night.

Why? Well...

-I want to write professionally, as has been my dream since eight years of age. Obviously this will require long, long periods of sustained writing, so practice like this would be great.

-As you might have noticed, my pace has slowed quite a bit lately, and I don't know how soon it'll pick up. It's an important time, and sadly ability to write tortuous vorishness may not...
