Proper Nouns In Fiction Settings Posted 4 months ago
Proper nouns are - to put it bluntly - a pain. Very few people are as obsessed as I have become in the matter of straightening out names. In a setting based solely on the Germanic, where would they get the name "John"? It sounds common to those of us who speak Germanic languages, yes, but the name has its ultimate origin in Biblical Hebrew. Names for people are habitational, occupational, familial, phenotypical, wishful, behavorial, or religious, but four of those have become less strong in English-speaking cultures (save for the matter of nicknamse), in my experience. No culture exists in a vacuum, so names can, will, & have transferred from culture to culture, ending up far from their origin in sound, intent, & distance. Names for places are often based on the...

Drinking Tolerance. Posted 4 months ago
In a drinking competition between Lauren, Strea, Rita, Melody, Valentina, Theresah, Foa, Alba, Sange, Terrica, & Ume, who do you all predict would win (taking into account Lauren plays fair)? Nadalia & Su would be excluded from this event.
Belated Six-Year Anniversary Posted 4 months ago
For the first time since making this account, I missed an anniversary post (by a whole week!), but it's no big deal. Six years isn't a usual milestone of pomp or fervor. This year's post will be less wordy, I imagine. As always, I'd like to thank my readers, in whatever form you peruse. No one has to read my material, so I am glad that some do. I won't harp on my ever-increasingly poor pacing, but I do hope to make more progress this December. Of my most recent project, Lauren's Lasting Fasting was a nice little exercise that helped prove to myself that I still have the motivation to write very single day. I may have mentioned it in the comments of one of those pieces, but I will relate here, too, that its instigation has its origins in the fact that I have been fasting every Sunday...

Music To My Peers Posted 5 months ago
I wanted to get out the next part before putting out a blog post. Normally, I'd save any November updates for the anniversaries, but I've been feeling particularly informative, lately. I am trying to better myself in many areas of my life, and such efforts have cut into my focus on the series. I will persist, regardless. My late September through early October pace was pretty decent, and I actually wrote a few paragraphs of Supper Part 20 the very night I posted Part 19. Hopefully, I can get out Part 21 soonish, and Part 22 should be unique-enough to capture my enthusiasm and entertainment. However, any sexual scenes that appear in anything I write for the rest of the month will probably be as dry as those in Part 20, due to circumstances of the month.
In other news, GooInABox...

Character Catalogue Posted 9 months ago
I have full intentions of making the character guide that I mentioned in the previous blog post. However, I am only in the beginning stages. Aside from the time it takes to complete, there is one obstacle that will slow progress on it. In order to represent the many dialects & languages of the realms, I have been coming up with new alphabets for each. These application of these alphabets will mostly come in the form of proper nouns, such as names. I intend on including these alphabets in a table at the end of each series when I revise & republish them, as an appendices of sorts, so that you all will not have to decipher said systems. Now, let me walk through why this alphabet-building is such a long process.

Kor Sted: The core - pun intended - of this whole language...

Character Help Posted 1 year ago
Over the years of making The Farmer and The Knight - as well as A Taste of Freedom - I have created many characters, some who make regular appearances and some who have made only one. My friend GooInABox pointed out to me that some of these characters are hard to remember. As someone who frequently helps me with plot-development and editing, the fact that he had difficulty remembering these characters made me realize that my readers may encounter similar troubles in remembering minor (or even major) characters' names, roles, and relationships. I have also begun to redesign many names of characters (and places) from the Core Stead using my new Core alphabet, meaning that some familiar names may become foreign on a first glance. Although the Aryion blogs no longer have a...

The Farmer and The Knight (Full Course Edition) Posted 1 year ago
A curious user private-messaged me at the end of January, asking if there was a way to download The Farmer and The Knight as a whole, instead of part by part. Up until then, the thought had never crossed my mind, at least not in that format. Well, nearly two weeks, a ton of fiddling with Google Drive, and waveform levels of motivation later, I present to you a link to a MEGA drive contain a zip folder of all the series in TFaTK, not including the ongoing Supper. It should be mostly in order, and as a word of warning, since I dabbled in different types of document formats, they are not all uniform. I am not the most technically adept person in the world, so please do tell me if something is not working. I will also be posting a link on my profile page, just so that this one...

5th Year Anniversary Posted 1 year ago
Every year has been a milestone in my eyes, but can you believe it's been five years since I made this account? The anniversary for my first upload of The Farmer and The Knight - Part 1 of A Hunger Yet Unknown, when at the time there was no conception for The Farmer and The Knight as a whole - will not be for a couple more days, and I myself often conflate the two dates. In any case, I want to reflect on my works done for this site. TFaTK became my main focus very early on to the point that I did not write anything remotely unconnected to it for at least a year after my debut. The nature of this series of series has changed over the course of its creation, as my goals for the later series, worldbuilding, internal consistency, ending, revisions, characters, and...

STT Update Posted 1 year ago
I know this long of a gap between TFaTK parts isn't exactly unprecedent for me these past two years, but this time, it's due to me working out of order for once. I've been spending time crafting the sex and vore scenes for Part 12 and mentally-outlining scenes for Parts 13 and 14 (that trio of parts being a sexual-overload mini-arc in particular). Alongside that, I've been crafting the narration for Part 11 and dialogue for later parts stemming from events in Part 11. Once I upload Part 11, Parts 12, 13, and 14 won't be far behind (hopefully).
