The Party
  The clacking of my heels on the pavement echoed against the houses along the empty street, well lit by street lamps. Why did I have to wear heels? Why couldn't we have gotten a cab? Why wasn't I born a leopard like Mara, so I wouldn't have to wear shoes? Instead I was born human, with stupid delicate human feet that were hurting like hell.
