Charming concept!
I will say, one detail you might consider if you use this character again is that palms and soles on dark-skinned people are noticeably paler than the surrounding skin.

It was more of a shading folly trying to accommodate for the heavier shadows based on the light direction but I did not succeed at it. I have ideas on how to fix this in the future
