Closure By FoxyCarter -- Report

Tags contain spoilers.

This initially started as a commission prompt. That said, I kept having more ideas for things I wanted to see, and by the time I'd written them all down, the story had practically written itself. I just filled in the gaps and, well, here we are.

I'm a big fan of exploring the more mundane aspects of settings where predation is a thing, which was a big part of my motivation when writing this story.

I also commissioned a lovely image to go along with it, which you can find here: https://aryion.com/g4/view/1003409

Thumbnail was just a random photo I found on Google Images.

Thank you for the kind words, lordfarquad (great username btw). Outta curiosity, which switches are we talking about here?

thanks lol. the main thing for me are the ending bit where the mc gets into kiley being a pred, im a sucker for characters who like that without it being a prey thing. also casual fatal cv is something im very fond off. hope that suffices.

I absolutely love it and I am glad to be a part of it! <3 I am not sure if I used applicable wording here
Gotta join lordfarquad; it struck a lot of switches for me too. I definitely would have liked to trade places with Cal there, hehe :D

Thus kinda reads like a traumatized guy finally mentally breaking and giving in to his abuser . The story is hot, but that’s kinda how it reads

This ended a lot better for Cal than I expected it would, especially after looking at the tags. It's almost wholesome, if you ignore all the red flags remaining in their relationship.

I mean, they've only been together for a month, and Kiley is already going to therapy. Not to mention she has a pretty empathetic and understanding partner.

Imo red flags are only a problem if the person waving them seems determined to stay that way. Everyone deserves a chance to change for the better.

Certainly, but wanting to change and actually doing so are two very different things. I'd say that their relationship still seems to need a lot of work until it is actually healthy, but a commitment to change is more than a lot of people get.

I agree with Tyuqa and Doomed.

The story starts a good setup and payoff structure and defines both characters really well till about two thirds of it. Don't get me wrong, there's pretty hot moments in here and it got a few Awwws out of me, but there's something that didn't properly stick the landing.

Kiley is competent and gifted but cause of her mother's influence, she has the weakness of needing stress relief in the form of using Calvin as a punching bag... but only does it cause she's aware he's strong enough not to break.

He's got traumas too but shows extreme resilience, enduring abuse after abuse and he's also pretty sweet.

Towards the end tho despite starting therapy(yes, i'm aware it was just a month, but there should be at least a peek of improvement somewhere), she doesn't come off as trying to hold back and fix her issues, to the point she does enjoy showing traits of control very close to her mother's and numerous red flags. Calvin at the end(to me) looks more completely broken and similar to his father(allowing her to do whatever she wants),rather than being accomodating to try and help Kiley overcome her issues and traumas.

This was amazing and hit a lot of fetishes I enjoy, I sent a pm to discuss some extra stuff if you don't mind checking it!

Kudos for composing such a complex relationship.

I enjoyed the tidbits about Kiley preferring CV so she doesn't have to sweat out her prey afterward and the reflection about how she devoured that roommate to make room for herself, so she's moving in his room as par of the course :3

> Kudos for composing such a complex relationship.

Thank you. I wanted both characters to feel "real," for lack of a better term, and people are messy and complicated. I'm glad at least some of that came across.

> I enjoyed the tidbits about Kiley preferring CV so she doesn't have to sweat out her prey afterwar

She's got a figure to maintain, after all ;)

> and the reflection about how she devoured that roommate to make room for herself

I'm happy you picked up on that. You can bet your ass that was absolutely Kiley's motivation from the start. Turning Drew into an orgasm was just a happy little side effect.

This is such a fantastic story. I'm with the other commenters in that it hit a lot of switches for me, both kink-wise and emotionally. I genuinely am so impressed at how you managed to blend realistic characters and complex themes with porn (for lack of better phrasing ^^;)

I also think the ending was great. It has a feel-good vibe on the surface, but like other commenters mentioned, there's still a lot of red flags in their relationship. Great that it's up to the reader's interpretation on whether Kiley will work on her issues to make it a more equal partnership or if Cal will slowly become a weak-willed enabler like his dad was

Thank you so much for this kind comment, genuinely made my weekend. It's stuff like this that inspires me to keep sharing my work online.

I strive to make my characters feel real and nuanced, even if I'm writing smut. It does often lead to ballooning word counts, but it's nice to know there's at least a handful of folks out there who appreciate it.
