To say Ron and Mabel's relationship was off to a rocky start would be kind of an understatement : when they first met, she was dead-set on having him for dessert after she'd already swallowed three guys who were giving her trouble. But he managed to bargain with her, giving her the best belly massage she'd ever had to help her break her previous preys down. After that, they kinda started dating, though as far as she was concerned, she mostly kept him around because he's hot and pretty damn good with belly rubs. A few weeks later, in the bedroom, she eventually sent him down and, in that moment, she was fully intent on keeping him down and turn him into yet another nameless prey to die inside her stomach like countless others before him.

It was only because of the sheep's unexpected assertiveness and sheer balls in such a situation, where many others would have just panicked and begged for their life, that she had second thoughts and decided to give that daring hunk a chance. And, as story would tell, it ended up being the beginning of one of America's longest-lived pred/prey relationships.

Their previously one-sided fling having evolved into a genuine, loving relationship, Ron now gets to visit that stomach he once almost met his end in on a very regular basis. He knows Mabel could easily betray him and keep him down everytime she swallows him... But he trusts her and, in the span of 4 decades since they first met all the way back in 1984, that trust has never been proven wrong.

But one thing's for sure : unlike whoever went through that gut previously, Ron will get out of it unharmed, and the same way he came in.
