Claire wasn't always a scylla, but actually a catgirl, who was cursed by a pearl she found during one of her wreck dives. Infested by the spawn, she turned into the woman she is today, and is the captain of the ship she calls The Bleeding Heart. Supposedly her ship is manned by 5 other crew mates, but that is just a facade to the true heart of her vessel. Despite being infested with a parasite that consumed her legs, she is in full control of them, save for occasional urges to spread the parasite to others.
