A living legend sulks, basked in laurels for his great shame. The thorns of guilt's rose call to him, but like Tantalus, they avoid his reach. A fatigued eye drifts to the tales that claim to be his exploits, but he does not recognize the man who bears his name.

So I decided to commission a similar redesign for Sir Hikaru. His design originally came together back when the Ittsuverse was still basically a Touhou fan spin-off, and his characterization has changed a lot since then, so I figured he was due for an update. Whereas Valencia's redesign bordered on an outright overhaul, this Hikaru is still pretty loyal for the old design - he just has more of a sad look to him, and armor that better expresses his status. I didn't have any specific guidelines - similar to Valencia, I just let the artist cook in revamping it, and I'm quite happy with the result. Asymmetrical designs are cool as hell, and I like that he's less armored on the side with his scales.

For those that need a refresher, the horns and wings come from his late father, an incubus, while the scales and the tail come from his mother, a dragon.
