My theory is that she can move prey in and out of hammerspace, so the one she digested she moved out of hammerspace into her real stomach

Well, she can copy quirks by turning into people, and the ability to copy quirks was not always part of her power set but something she awoke under pressure. I'm guessing she got another, similar power upgrade and then immediately saw the potential for use in vorophiliac hostage situations.

Because as every villain knows, a hostage isn't a hostage unless you ate them first. Otherwise they can just kill you and free the hostage no problem, but stomach acid doesn't go away when you die.

I mean, you can also just have her turn into Mount Lady for some giantess play or some OC for normal size play. The only time it's difficult to justify with in-universe powers is when she's not transformed, because that kind of completely contradicts how her quirk works.

I mean, vore is its own justification, if this is a vore story vore is obviously possible, so it's not usually necessary to explain how the anatomy is functioning. But it's still kind of fun to realize, "wait, that character is probably LITERALLY capable of eating a bitch..."
