Well, the cruise idea still seems nice, even with Opulo's inexperience. Of course, lack of oversight means opportunities for villains and heroes here.
“She can take my place outside the door while we go inside the room. If anything untoward were to happen, she would still be in range to hear and act.”
Cue soundproofed door.
A curse of deliciousness would sound like a fun silly spell normally, but RIP for the princess' dog. I guess we'll see if the spell also adds the drive for the predator to digest their tasty prey.

The name "Divine Flavor" for a spell comes from a certain infamous Flaws for Commoners April Fools article. (One better known for creating an infinite chickens exploit.) So there is a definite whimsical tone to it - but it's a matter of perspective, really.
