Safe Word (comic) By foxyoreos -- Report

This joke wouldn't get out of my head until I drew it :3 I love these kind of pred/prey interactions: good natured ribbing and teasing without ever actually doing any harm. <3

I absolutely adore this...reformation is so much fun because theres so many ways you can play around with it...but although I don't know if this was the case the idea of a prey reforming and than interacting with the pred well the prey watches the pred digest their previous body is such a cool idea but yes reformation is fun in its own right...

Thanks! That's definitely a thing that happens with Rae: https://aryion.com/g4/view/1058960

As soon as her body dies she pretty much immediately reforms, so if she's close enough she can cuddle with the pred and hang out until they finish making room for another meal X3

I love that as a trope - I just get a lot of warm fuzzy feelings from the idea of somepony being able to feel their own body digesting while they sit on a pred's tummy :3

Rae is such a cute! :3

She's a bit like a feral version of Häschen (my main sona), except more into soft vore. :D

Oh, and the misunderstanding is caused by the wolf saying "safe word" instead of "safeword"? Because I gotta say, I think my English is pretty good, but that was kinda hard to catch. ^_^;

Close, but not quite <3

"Safe word" and "safeword" in English are interchangeable . A safe word is commonly used in sexual situations but can apply to any situation even non-sexual where someone is doing something consensual but needs a quick and easy signal for "stop". It's a general term that can apply to a lot of situations, but one that would get you funny looks for a second if you used it in casual conversation with a platonic friend. Typically they're also discussed before starting the activity.

In this case, the safe word means "digestion isn't fun anymore, get me out of here." Rae is confused at first because the two of them haven't discussed a safe word before: this is the first she's hearing about one for digestion. She's also confused because of the common connotation of safe words with sexual situations, so she has to take a second to think how it applies here (this isn't a sexual situation for her, also how does a safe word work if somepony is halfway digested?).

So it's not confusion over what the words mean, Rae's just being caught off guard by the question.

The joke is that because Rae's universe has reformation, the wolf's version of "get me out of here, digestion isn't fun anymore" isn't regurgitation or anything like that, it's crushing the prey with the stomach muscles and instantly killing them (causing them to immediately reform outside of the stomach).

So the wolf is tricking Rae into saying the safe word so that they have an excuse to crush her by surprise as a prank, and then to play it off as "well, I want to be responsible, if you say the safe word I've got to get you out, I'm not going to ask if you said it by accident." The wordplay isn't about "safeword" or "safe word", it's about the wolf's idea of prey *safety* being "kill the prey".

Reformation vore has a way of blurring the lines between situations that are disturbing and situations that are cute/wholesome :3 Crushing the life out of a prey can be a way getting the prey out of a scary or painful situation without causing them any harm - and the wolf is playing with the weirdness of that situation.

Rae is annoyed by the prank, but more annoyed because she was still having fun and didn't want to actually come out yet X3
