jeez that was really long. took a while to read but it was well written although i will say its really hard to feel any sympathy or root for minna given her killing all those people . Gundula , despite everything, was right . minna was a menace who was going around killing people they all served with . not simply enemies or something. minna killed people under her command , which makes her a traitor.

this quote all but sums it up too : “Spare me your holier-than-thou crap, Minna,” Gundula spat coldly. “If you want to talk about
horrible, how about the many lives you’ve devoured on this base? The witnesses? The witch
that disappeared from the town in the tower neuroi incident? Or even the fishermen that were
here not too long ago?”

im glad that this didnt take a turn where gundula in the end started to sympathze with minna and surrender or apologize. minna doesnt deserve any of it. in stories like these where the protagonist is objectively a bad person its often that the writer will try to have their antagonists/foil change in the end for an emotional beat or somehting. in an attempt to justify the protagonist . the probelm with that is that it undermines all the antagonists actions and motivations. even more so than the protagonist getting away with it. too bad in the end her death meant nothing since minna gets away with it in the end

back to minna , like i said its really hard to sympathize or root for someone who murdered her former friends and essentially roofied women so she could fuck them. i chuckled when minna said she asks for consent , AFTER she had already forced herself into kyoko who was clearly saying no . that said the people around her are more understandable and sympathetic which balances things out. plus the sex scenes take the weight out of the scenes. if it werent supposed to be smut the scenes mightve come across as poorly timed but given the context theyre perfectly placed. even the usually considered cheesy dialogue tropes fit well in the context.
over all its well written novel.

As the commissioner, my original concept was exactly that: you aren't supposed to feel that minna was doing the right thing because she was in fact not doing the right things.

Having gundula rally the other witches against minna, and the friction with barkhorn/kyoko, serves to highlight the vestigal core premise of the series, which is being the good guys. I felt that the contrast between a clearly evil protagonist and the series she hails from would both heighten the "taboo" appeal of the vore/futa aspects and respect the series itself better than ones that gloss over the otherwise obvious dissonance.

The scenes do indeed exist to cheapen the otherwise severe gravity of the overall situation, but hey, I had this written because I'm horny for it, and the author obliged. I'm sure that some people might like a doom and gloom hyperrealist focus but I came here for vore and big things and I got em lol.
