Here it is! The story that had me so tangled up in writer's block for so long. The results of the Pumpkin attack. Was supposed to have a commissioned art piece to go with this, but I haven't heard anything about it in a while, so I'll probably link to it if/when it is finished.

Old characters return as Prudence, Iz, and Cassidy all make their way into the rubble. Old grudges fade as they work together to sift through the rubble. New grudges form and old rivals are unearthed.

This was an incredible read! Lowkey dreaded the inevitable revisiting of this part of the story, but with all those loose ends it was only a matter of time. Although Melanie didnt make an appearance, I can only hope shes still compressed in there. Speaking of, theres no way that Heather manages to get to Zoe with Sarah around. Not easily at least. Prudence's side story was really cool. Felt like I was watching a Resident Evil playthrough, even down to the bbg's behavior. And at the end when everyones gathered around, is there a reason that the pale white scylla (Jade?) was there? Did they just run into her and decided to hang around?

Oh yeah, Melanie's still around, just easy for a low-key nuts Heather to forget about.

Thanks on Prudence's portion. I was going for the RE 2 vibe there. I would've had her shouting for Haley or Prudence, but I felt that would've been a little too on the nose.

If my word count hadn't already blown up so much, I would've made it more explicit. Essentially, the person caring for the new character was eaten and Jasper saved the kid, buying herself Iz's promised escape.

Having a glance on this story alone, it's definitely giving me some "Killer Tomatos" vibe with just how much of a plant-based mess, the Pumpkin menace became.

I mean, they were tired of being carved up alive and mashed into pies. So they had to rise up.

Who knows? If you're still not getting that commission piece after awhile, consider throwing me a PM in case you want a "WIP Thumbnail" draft for that? ;)

Oh it wasn't supposed to be a thumbnail or something like that. It was actually intended to be a sneak peek since the chapter was taking so long to write.

Ah,

Well then. Offer's still valid, if you want my free take on it regardless.

I'd argue that in a universe without an established, canonical afterlife, a clone with all of the original's memories would qualify as the same person in every way.
