You know how it is. Mom says "Don't do that" and Dad goes "Dude, I'll show you how to do it."

Maybe the dog's owner yelled at Riley and his dad reacted badly. Maybe the dog snapped at him. It's too late to ask either now. Later, Madeline will be all "Oh, I can't stay mad at you" after Rattles burps up a shoe. These things happen in the wasteland.

What kind of influence do you expect a non sapient predator to be on a hybrid son though? XD
