It's pretty neat, the idea of something devouring whole planets, even if the physics of it would be uh... pretty complicated :D
One bit of critique i'll mention is that you used the word 'massive' an awful lot, it started to sting a bit after the first few times.

hmmm...well you are right, there seems to be no intelligent being on that planet earth. What? i live on that planet? well...woops!
Like the idea. an apocolyse of sorts it seems!

A world full of life and love of billions of people, now just a bulge and a belch to a galactic dragon. Wonderful short story. I remember Salamander's pic as well.^^
