The strange Mermaid Fish swallows its female preys feet first. Until the fish finishes its meal, the girl will be able to breathe water and act like a mermaid.
During coloring, I put two cameos in this picture. One is a certain Disney princess, the other is a friend and favorite prey of mine. :-)
EDIT: I uploaded an improved version with a much better background and some minor editing on the tails. Hope you like. ^^

Well the Mermaid fish will keep the girl alive for a while longer, but once fully inside, she not coming out. The mermaid fish almost seals its mouth keeping the girl trapped inside. Some girls live to be swallowed up to a point, then have friends help put them free. And then they do it all over again!

no the fish keeps the girl alive letting her eat, and just feeding off her juices. No real harm done, other then the girl is now trapped.

I bet I can spot one of the cameos. One looks like Ariel (the red head), but I'm not sure who the other one is. Knowing you, it might be Peach. Heh, anyway, good job.

This so fuuny, WHY? well these litle fish/ ells things you dippicitated, accutaly exisist! they are about 35-55cms in letgh and they latch onto larger fishes tails and slowly wor thei way up until they can fit no more, and stay they, for-ever, feeding of the fishes blood, but only enough so their host wont die, cool hey, but yeah these are like huge versions... heheh
