Glad I could help. I'm just gonna go on a rant here about crazy things that you can decide to add to the list if you want to or not.
-English muffins weren't invented in England, french fries in France, or danish pastries in Denmark.
-There is even more craziness in that sweetmeat is candy, while sweetbread, which isn't sweet, is made from meat.
- Greyhounds aren't always grey (or gray); panda bears and koala bears aren't bears (their marsupials); a woodchuck is a groundhog, which is not a hog; a horned toad is a lizard; gloworms are fireflies, but fireflies are not flies (they're beetles); lady bugs and lightning bugs are also beetles (and to propagate, a significant proportion of ladybugs must be male)
-A guinea pig is neither a pig nor from Guinea (it's a South American rodent).
-hot dogs can be cold
-darkrooms can be lit (photography)
-homework can be done in school
-nightmares can take place in broad daylight
-while morning sickness and daydreaming can take place at night
-tomboys are girls
-midwives can be men
-rush hour can last longer than sixty minutes
-quicksand works very slowly
-silverware can be made of plastic and tablecloths of paper
-most bathrooms don't have baths in them. In fact, a dog can go to the bathroom under a tree--no bath, no room; it's still going to the bathroom
-a woman can man a station but a man can't woman one
-a man can father a movement but a woman can't mother one
-a king rules a kingdom but a quenn doesn't rule a queendom
-if the plural for tooth is teeth, shouldn't the plural of booth be beeth?
-if a firefighter fights fire, what does a freedom fighter fight?
-if a weightlifter lifts weights, what does a shoplifter lift?
-why do people recite at a play and play at a recital?
-why do privates eat in a general mess and generals eat in a private mess?
-if button and unbutton and tie and untie are opposites, why are loosen and unloosen and ravel and unravel the same?
if uplift is the same as lift up, why are upset and set up opposite in meaning?
-why is it that when the sun or the moon or the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible?
In short I think the English language is crazy.

29. Why do we call it a hamburger when it is made from beef?
The name "Hamburger" comes from Hamburg, Germany. Where the people had the (good?) idea to grind beef, or pound it flat, to make what were call "Hamburg Steaks." As the years went on and the Hamburg Steak was put into a sandwich the name was shortened to "Hamburger." An interesting side note is that the name Hamburger referring to the sandwich is quite disconcerting to the citizens of Hamburg who also refer to themselves as Hamburgers.

Wow, learn something new every day. I kinda already knew where it came from, but I didn't know what it was originally called :)

9 and 146 and 73 and 40 are doubles.
18: It's called practice because medicine is never perfect ;)
30: Why NOT? (is from Alaska).
48: It falls on the floor!
72: YES!
84: You're scared 3/4ths to death X3
And my own contribution:
-Is it possible to lie when asked, "Are you friend or foe?"

Thanks, I'll remove the extras and think about how to word the one you gave me! ;)
