Wow... Funny as the story was, and as interesting as the twists were... I have to say that I enjoyed the section titles the best. =3
So much alliteration and funny references, a How to ... books, and a Monty Python reference If I'm not mistaken.
Great work! You are up there with Dancing Queen and The Watcher (same initials?)as my favorite authors!

If you're referring to the "pump (clap) you up!" thing, that's actually a Saturday Night Live reference. But thanks so much for the compliments! :)

NO, I was referring to the "Gaining a Daughter, Losing a Son ", from the scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail with Lancelot and the Prince. The King says, "Please, please! This is supposed to be a happy occasion! Let's not bicker and argue about who killed who. We are here today to
witness the union of two young people in the joyful bond of the holy wedlock. Unfortunately, one of them, my son Herbert, has just fallen
to his death. But I think I've not lost a son, so much as... gained a daughter! "

Well, I was actually referring to the old saying about when one's kids get married that Python was also referring to. "You're not losing a daughter, you're gaining a son" (or vice versa). But if that's how you want to take it, be my guest.

Nice to see inflation turn up here, it's nice sometimes. This is an inventive take on it and I like the various directions you're able to go with it.

There are 2 great things about this story. The first is the idea of the main character "owning" Janie (which, of course, is a major theme in your newer stories.

The other, of course, is seeing someday_93's reactions.
