At least she was worried about her after she did that...even though she ate the girl, she never forgot or stopped trying to help her...even at the cost of her own existence.
... I gotta say, I kinda like this. I mean, it's sad and painful, but it really makes the Vores here people, trying to deal with the consequences of entrapping or in other peoples stories: killing. (Do Not Like Death.) Too many other characters with vorish abilities live in brutal worlds, which makes thier callousness to their prey understanding, but vores in modern settings usually become... psychos or monsters. Kind of a turn off.
I like the intrapersonal aspects of vore you put in here: it avoids the callous Pred/prey thing, makes it more interesting.

Well, I kinda had to write this story after figuring out that Melanie being a library collection would have to have that kind of consequences.
One day Melanie goes just a little too far...
I need to get around to writing the sequel to this one.
